Meet Your Provider Ms. Jacqueline Joy Battjes

Jacqueline Joy Battjes is a Doctor of Nursing Practice, nationally board certified – DNP, APRN, FNP-BC — Born an only child into a large but aging family, Jackie found herself involved in the care of her many members in many caregiving capacities. The reality of modern healthcare became evident, and she became concerned at the overall lack of care and attention from the majority of medical providers she would meet alongside her family members as they were being treated. The decision was easy, she began her schooling to become an RN and went on from there, there were years in the travel nursing circuits and then later practicing in hospitals under her DNP license and finally she was able to grab an opportunity to partner with someone equally excited by her dream to start a specialized medical clinic based upon the premise of listening to the patient and actually addressing their concerns instead of just prescribing a mainstream pharmacological patch.

Jackie’s passion is to try to make the shocking advances in functional medicine and regenerative medicine more accessible to the general public, since the majority of mainstream health insurance companies will not pay for these services. She is inspired by innovation in both functional and regenerative medicine, believing these two new fields are complimentary to each other. With a dedication to advancing these treatments, she has developed a unique multimodal approach that harnesses the body’s natural healing power to address complex issues and promote cellular-level regeneration. For too long, medicine has focused on treating symptoms instead of finding solutions

Using the latest innovations in DNA lab testing, GI tract testing, advanced blood labs, Organic Acids labs, Methylation analysis and many other tools to pin-point treatment therapies without wasting the patients time and money. A treatment plan is created with this hard data, and then typically she finds herself helping create a diet plan, possibly a hormone therapy plan, addressing shortfalls in amino acids and fatty acids, possibly using compounded supplements, biologics, peptides, and many other advanced protocols that are now available. Jackie has established herself as a multimodal clinician dedicated to promoting longevity, pain relief, and beauty for her patients.

As a graduate of NSU with a BSN, she was accredited with an RN license, and began working as an RN, and while working she attended FGCU for their Doctorate program. She also became an adjunct professor at Nove Southeastern University, teaching the advanced track ABSN program for a time. Current DNP accreditations are “Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Family Nurse Practitioner – Board Certified” by the ANCC. Recently she has enjoyed a sabbatical to refresh her knowledge base, with extensive course work in various beauty protocols, regenerative medicine techniques, and now specifically a 12 month program in functional medicine by Kalish Institute which should culminate in a functional medicine certification as KICP, with the opportunity to test and certify with the Institute of Functional Medicine for an FMCP.
